Sandrine Gruda - EuroBasket Women 2015 Profile

A worldwide star with arguably the most deadly baseline jump-shot and sweetest fadeaway in women's basketball, the size and silky skills of Gruda are an irresistible combination. A silverware magnet at club level and someone who has been at the heart of medal success for the national team, it seems incredible that Gruda is still firmly in her twenties as she seems to have been performing at the elite level for an eternity. That is probably because she was a rising star in her teens and was the first player in French basketball history to be crowned FIBA Europe Young Women's Player of the Year and then also FIBA Europe Women's Player of the Year. Following in the footsteps of her father who also represented France, Gruda remains one of the leading frontcourt players around and someone who will carry a large chunk of French hopes on her shoulders.
