Turning Point: Down by nine points sitting in the locker rooms at the interval, Fenerbahce returned to the floor looking like a different team and posted a blistering 24-9 third period which got them back into the game.
Stats Don't Lie:
The three-point shooting of Fenerbahce was the key factor in the game. They shot a sparkling 57.1% from outside, making eight of their thirteen attempts.

Game Heroes: Angel McCoughtry claimed an efficient 13 points, four rebounds and snapped up a huge rebound in crunch time. Additionally, Cappie Pondexter didn't have the best shooting night but made the pivotal play with 22 seconds left and finished with 13 points and eight rebounds.

Fenerbahce came from behind and overturned a double-digit deficit to seal a dramatic 68-66 success over arch rivals Galatasaray odeabank on the second day of the EuroLeague Women Final Eight in Ekaterinburg.

In a roller-coaster contest reminiscent of their recent clash in Istanbul when Galatarasay squeezed out a win to take the TKBL regular season title, both teams had opportunities to take victory in the dying seconds.

But this time round it was Fenerbahce celebrating and, Cappie Pondexter who ultimately got the job done, was thrilled to have come up with the big play.

"It was an important possession and I knew it, but I have been making those shots for my whole career and it was a perfect one on one situation for me," she told reporters following the game.

"I was just so grateful that I was able to make it for the team."

Trailing 39-30 heading to the locker rooms and having witnessed his side go down by as many as 11 points, Fenerbahce play-caller Roberto Iniguez explained that he didn't discuss any elements of his team's first-half display.

23. Kelsey Bone (Galatasaray odeabank)
Kelsey Bone had 14 points in defeat

"We only talked about our heads, our hearts and the mentality - not the basketball," he confessed.

"I have to congratulate my players because even in the worst moments, they still though they could win.

"This result is for the fans back home because this is a super win as far as they are concerned, but now we have to beat Sparta&K who are playing well and also have a very good coach."

After coming back from behind with their excellent third period, Fenerbahce generally continued keeping their noses in front and looked like they might even push on when Anastasiya Verameyenka hit a three-ball to make it 64-60.

But Kelsey Bone and two baskets from Sancho Lyttle put Galatasary 66-65 in front with 39 seconds left either side of a Pondexter free-throw.

The same player then made the big shot and iced another free-throw prior to a last ditch attempt from Galatasaray to steal the win, but the attempt by Sebnem Kimyacioglu fell short.

Zellous and Bone had 35 points between them in defeat.
