Wednesday night's EuroLeague Women game in Kosice, Slovakia, between Good Angels Kosice and UMMC Ekaterinburg has set a new record for a regular season EuroLeague Women game.

7,855 fans turned out to watch the clash - making the game the fifth most-attended game in the history of women's basketball in Europe.

In terms of EuroLeague Women regular season games, Kosice already held the record for the previous largest attendance - 7,120 in November 2007.

Unfortunately the home team - Good Angels Kosice - could not produce an upset over reigning champions UMMC Ekaterinburg, falling 72-68 after 2013 Final Eight MVP Candace Parker lit up the court in the final quarter, scoring 13 points in the final quarter alone to finish with 35 points and 16 rebounds.

"Playing in front of such a great crowd was an amazing and very emotional experience," said Good Angels playmaker Miljana Bojovic following the game, adding, "I am just disappointed that we didn´t give a win to all those people that came to support us."

UMMC Ekaterinburg now sit alone at the top of Group A with a 3-0 record, whilst the Good Angels drop to 2-1.
