Ros Casares blew out CCC Polkowice 78-58 in Poland on Friday night to advance to the Final Eight of the EuroLeague Women. The Spanish giants won convincingly against Polkowice for the second time this week with Maya Moore's 20 points a game-high. Ann Wauters and Sancho Lyttle poured in 17 and 15 points, respectively, and each corralled 12 rebounds. Polkowice only led briefly at the start of the contest. Ros were on top 9-8 midway through the opening quarter when they went on a 15-4 run to take a firm grip on proceedings. Ann Wauters hit a jumper and after Sharnee Zoll replied with a jump shot, Moore's three-pointer gave the Valencia team a 14-10 lead. Lyttle and Wauters followed with baskets and Evina Maltsi scored to cut the gap to six, Moore struck again from long range. Laia Palau's free-throw stretched the Ros Casares advantage to 22-12 by the end of the first quarter. Lauren Jackson then sparked the visitors, coming off the bench to score their first seven points of the second quarter as they built a 29-17 lead. Ros went on to outscore the hosts 22-9 in the frame for a 44-21 lead at the break and there was no way back for Arkadiusz Rusin's team.
