Turkish giants Galatasaray Odeabank have turned to the prolific Shavonte Zellous to provide the firepower to propel them to EuroLeague Women success this season.

The player remains in Turkey, making the switch to Istanbul having played for the past two seasons with Mersin.

Last year, Zellous was on-fire and after long-running rumours of her moving to Galatsaray, the deal has been confirmed by club bosses.

Fans will be excited at the scoring power of the guard who was the leading scorer in the TKBL last season, amassing a mammoth 22.3 points-per-game, but also showing she has a rounded skill-set with 5.6 rebounds and 3.0 assists each time she took to the floor.

She was similarly productive in EuroCup Women, finishing top scorer in the tournament, amassing a terrific 20.0 points-per-game and weighing in with 5.9 rebounds each night.

Zellous has previously played in EuroLeague Women with TTT Riga, managing a healthy 16.3 points-per-game during the 2010-11 season.

The player recently completed her fourth WNBA campaign with the Indiana Fever having previously played for the Tulsa Shock.
