Sparta&K M.R. Vidnoje continued to show they are the real deal after stretching their winning sequence to a stunning six games in EuroLeague Women Group C with a scintillating 73-59 success against Galatasaray odeabank.
On top from the outset, Sparta&K followed up their outstanding win at ZVVZ USK Prague by beating another of their rivals for top spot in the standings.
With Turkish star Nevriye Yilmaz having a rare off-night for Galatasaray and the visitors enduring a grim final quarter, the Sparta&K frontcourt took full advantage and led by the excellent Natalia Vieru and Tijana Ajdukovic.
Both enjoyed wonderful shooting nights, with the former grabbing 18 points and three blocks, whilst Ajdukovic added 16 points and 10 boards.
It was Vieru who set the tone, making her first five shots as Sparta&K established a 27-17 first-quarter lead.
Even with Spanish ace Alba Torrens beginning to regain her game-day sharpness after a bout of pneumonia, Galatasaray struggled to keep pace.
Sancho Lyttle brought the visitors to within 32-29 in the second period, but just four points in six minutes leading up to the interval meant Sparta&K remained in the box-seat at 44-33.
Slowly working their way back into the game, Galatasaray then gained a foothold back in the contest when Kelsey Bone and Torrens scored the first four points of the final quarter to reduce the difference to just 56-54.
But they imploded and managed only five further points as a slick Sparta&K outfit revelled in sharing around 24 assists to emphasise a great team performance.
Lyttle had 15 points and eight rebounds in defeat as Galatasaray crashed to back-to back losses on the road.
