Kia Vaughn is returning to Prague for a third consecutive year

Czech champions ZVVZ USK Prague have decided to welcome Kia Vaughn back for a third consecutive year at the club.

The player was a fundamental part of the team's historic run to a first-ever appearance at the EuroLeague Women Final Eight, having averaged a near double-double campaign of 11.8 points and 9.3 rebounds per game in the competition.

However, rather than merely the impressive numbers, it is the attitude, commitment and character of Vaughn which has left everyone involved with the club excited at her return.

"We are very pleased that we have managed to maintain our relationship and that we have agreed with her a contract extension for another year," confirmed General Manager, Marek Kucera.

"Kia is an incredibly hard worker, an absolute professional who gives her all in any match,"

While the re-signing of Vaughn ensures the spine of the entire team returns, the American star who is currently playing in the WNBA with Washington Mystics, will have some new partners in the paint next year - as well as the familiar face of Ilona Burgrova.

For the club also recently clinched deals with veteran Ivana Matovic and emerging Czech national team forward Alena Hanusova.
