Uni Györ have tabbed deals with Israel center Dannielle Diamant and Hungarian guard Kinga Penzes, as they contemplate being a potential underdog in Group A of EuroLeague Women next season.
Diamant will embark on her rookie pro-season having recently completed her college career with Northwestern University, where she finished with 11.5 points and 7.7 boards during her final year in the NCAA.
She also recently debuted for Israel earlier in the summer, when she participated in the EuroBasket Women 2015 1st Qualification Round.
Györ head coach Akos Fuzy is satisfied with the addition of Diamant, who isn't afraid to shoot the ball from outside.
"She is the type of player we were looking for, someone who is universal and can fit into our interior game, but is also able to reinvent herself in the external positions on the court," he commented.
"Diamant is one of these types of players and also belongs to the category that includes real promise."
Meanwhile Penzes played for PINKK Pecsi 424 last season and at 30 years old, she offers some veteran know-how in the backcourt and on the wing.
The swingman first appeared in EuroLeague Women as a teenager more than a decade ago for Mizo Pecsi VSK and has previously worked with Coach Fuzy.
