Italian champions Famila Schio have captured Hungarian guard and former EuroLeague Women champion, Katalin Honti for the 2013-14 season.

Whilst still only 25 years old, Honti has already celebrated a decade of playing in EuroLeague Women, having been one of the youngest ever players to debut in the competition as a 15-year-old with UE Sopron.

The guard spent nine years with her hometown club and helped take them to a surprise Final Four spot in 2009 with one of the most productive campaigns of her career.

She has spent the last couple of seasons playing in Spain and having won the EuroLeague Women title with Ros Casares, Honti stepped out with Rivas Ecopolis last year and averaged 5.0 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game in the competition.

The signature of Honti comes days after it was confirmed French center Elodie Godin had been handed a contract extension with the club.
