Club Team 2012-13: Nadezhda Orenburg (Russia-Premier League) Career: Buducnost Podgorica (Serbia & Montenegro-1A, 2002-04), Wisla Can Pack (Poland-PLKK, 2004-06), Buducnost Podgorica (Montenegro-Superleague, 2006-08), Liomatic Umbertide (Italy-A2, 2008), Gran Canaria (Spain-LF, 2008-09), CB Olesa Espanyol (Spain-LF, 2009-10), Lattes Montpellier (France -LFB, 2010-11), CCC Polkowice (Poland-PLKK, 2011-12), Nadezhda (Russia-Premier League, 2012-13) Despite a stunning contribution at EuroBasket Women 2011, the tournament for Perovanovic ended in tears after she suffered a serious injury in the last quarter of the final game as Montenegro watched their Olympic dreams fade with a loss to Croatia. But she has bounced back strongly, yet again finishing as the top scorer for her team in qualification, something which is becoming a perennial achievement in recent years. She is a very talented frontcourt player who is mobile, relatively quick and athletic. She is able to score from multiple situations, especially slashing to the basket and crucially, she is a superb finisher who also draws plenty of fouls. She was the most clinical player anywhere in qualification last summer with a field goal percentage of 57%. A fantastic offensive rebounder due to her long arms and aggressive approach, she is a proven performer at club level too, having played in EuroLeague Women last year with Nadezhda where she produced typically efficient numbers. She is a dream post player for any team and works well with her back to the basket with her almost technically perfect hook shoot, but she also works the high post intelligently. Opponents should also be aware: she appears to be getting better as she gets older.
