Career: Nadezhda Orenburg (Russia-Superleague, 2004-06), UMMC Ekaterinburg (Russia-Superleague, 2006-08), Dynamo Moscow (Russia-Superleague, 2008-11)
Marina Kuzina is a mobile and versatile center that can not only cause plenty of problems for opponents inside, but can also drift out to the perimeter and make good use of her soft shooting touch. Her range extends to beyond the three-point line and consequently she can pose a real dilemma for opposing coaches. She is a hard worker who rebounds well and will set relentless screens where needed for her teammates. She scored in every game she played last year at the FIBA World Championship Women and was successful at youth level after winning a gold medal with the U18 team and then averaging a double-double of over 23 points and 11 rebounds per game at the U20 European Championship Women in 2005. She has been rock solid for the senior team and very productive indeed playing in EuroCup Women in recent seasons for Dynamo Moscow. |
