The 32-year-old forward is the leader of the national team and a hugely influential figure both in the locker room and most importantly of all, out on the floor. She has vast experience for club and country, having played in a wealth of major tournaments for the senior team and also in the WNBA, and Euroleague Women, with 10 campaigns in the latter on her resume. She is capable of changing the tempo with her balanced inside-outside game, since she is a dangerous three-point shooter who is also happy skipping to the hoop or battling under the basket. Indeed she is a very underrated worker on the glass and led Italy in rebounds during qualification to remind everyone she leads by example and does not mind getting her hands dirty. Winning a multitude of titles with Schio where she has played for the last eight seasons, she knows what it takes to deliver success and she will be pivotal in what what could be her EuroBasket Women swansong.
