|Jantel Lavender helped Famila Schio maintain their perfect record on Wednesday night|
Famila Schio had to overturn a double digit deficit at UE Sopron to clinch a 66-60 victory and preserve their unbeaten status in EuroLeague Women Group B.
The Italian visitors were off the pace during a terrible 21-6 second quarter, having led 22-17 after a briskly paced opening ten minutes.
They found Jelena Milovanovic just too hot to handle in the paint as she claimed 18 first-half points.
And, early in the third quarter, UE Sopron led 45-35, but the nagging concern for home supporters was that their favourites were seriously labouring from downtown and shooting a distinctly poor one-of-nine from long-range.
This began to catch up with Sopron as the visitors made the necessary defensive adjustments to put the shackles on Milovanovic.
They posted nine points without reply to haul themselves back into contention and with just over five minutes to play, the scores were tied at 52-52.
However, Schio had the confidence and superior composure down the stretch to take the win.
French forward Elodie Godin continued her good form with 12 points and eight rebounds whilst Giorgia Sottana had 14 points and five assists.
Milovanovic and Shenise Johnson combined for 43 points for the home team.
