ZVVZ USK Prague may have retained the core of their team from what was an outstanding 2013-14, but there is huge excitement at the new arrivals who will line up on their roster next season.

In addition to the return of veteran star Ivana Matovic, the club have also managed to secure the capture of a couple of rising Czech national team stars including Alena Hanusova and most recently, the hugely exciting Tereza Vyoralova who switches from VS Prague.

The 20-year-old Vyoralova made the headlines last year when still a teenager, she did enough to persuade Czech Republic head coach Lubor Blazek to include her in the final twelve for EuroBasket Women 2013 in France.

"We have signed a long-term contract with Tereza, who is one of the great hopes of Czech women's basketball," declared the club's General Manager, Marek Kucera with real pride.

"Her arrival is the first fruit of closer co-operation between ZVVZ USK Prague and VS Prague."

Despite her youthful status, Vyoralova played more minutes than any of her team-mates in the ZBL last season and averaged 8.6 points per game.

She is now competing to retain her spot on the senior national team roster for the FIBA World Championship for Women and is likely to spearhead her nation's challenge at the U20 European Championship for Women in Udine next month.

Matovic is also ready to get back to her best claimed Kucera, who is delighted to have the frontcourt star back in the Czech capital.

"While we we feel that this past year at Fenerbahce was not a completely perfect season for her, we firmly believe that she will become one of our club's very best players," he insisted.

Certainly Matovic has an undeniably impressive track record in EuroLeague Women down the years.

With Hanusova having also risen to the fore in the competition at BK Imos Brno, it's little wonder everyone at USK are counting down the days until the start of the 2014-15 season.
