|Cappie Pondexter had 20 points in Fenerbahce's win|
Fenerbahce Sports Club are making the President's Cup their own after sealing a win against Galatasaray Odeabank to lift the first women's silverware of the season in Turkey for the fourth year in a row.
Roberto Iniguez and his players got the better of their rivals from across the Bosphorus in a 63-53 success thanks to a great start to the contest which witnessed one-way traffic in favour of the winning team.
Belarus national team center Anastasiya Verameyenka had a stand-out first year in Istanbul and she has not missed a beat at the beginning of her second season, scoring ten points in a stunning 14-0 opening for Fenerbahce, which had Galatasaray on the back foot from the outset.
Despite working hard and briefly fighting back to make it a one-shot game, helped by an inspired 24-point haul from summer addition Kelsey Bone, Galatasaray could not recover from their miserable opening.
Fenerbahce outscored their opponents 10-1 during a game-sealing passage in the final quarter, as Cappie Pondexter took her tally to 20 points.
New arrivals Isabelle Yacoubou and Quanitra Hollingsworth re-enforced the power now at the disposal of Fenerbahce inside, both making contributions of 10 points and eight rebounds.
