Team 2012-13: BK Imos Brno (Czech Republic-ZBL) Career: Lokomotiva Karlovy Vary (Czeh Rep.-ZBL, 2008-09), BK Imos Brno (Czech Republic-ZBL, 2009-13) Last summer was something of a breakthrough year for the versatile Hanusova. The Olympic Qualifying Tournament and the subsequent Games in London were a tough initiation at senior level for this talented player, who struggled to find her shooting range, but showed glimpses of potential which suggest she could establish herself in the frontcourt long term. Her experiences of four seasons playing in EuroLeague Women are helping to mature her game and she has some nice skills, including some effective post moves with her back to the basket, whilst having the confidence to step away from the low post and make jump-shots. She is a smart player in either case and will inevitably draw plenty of fouls. She is finally making the transition from youth to senior and because of her skill set, she was known as something of a gentle giant at youth level, but now she is becoming more aggressive while perfecting her post play at the same time. |
