Wisla Can-Pack Krakow center Ewelina Kobryn accepts that she and her teammates didn't beat one of the better sides in the EuroLeague Women this week when rolling to an 89-48 victory over TTT Riga.
|With the second EuroLeague Women win in the bag, Ewelina Kobryn now turns her focus to Wisla Can-Pack's domestic league fixture against Polkowice|
Far from it.
TTT Riga have yet to win a game in Europe this season.
Wisla jumped out to a 23-7 lead by the end of the first quarter and thrashed the Latvians to improve to 2-2.
"Already in the first quarter when we came out, we knew we were the better team on the court," Kobryn said, "but we had to answer the question if we could maintain our concentration and will to fight until the end of the game."
Wisla did just that, keeping the pressure on to win convincingly.
Now comes a game against CCC Polkowice in Poland's top flight.
Polkowice are the team that knocked Wisla out of the 2009-10 play-offs in the Quarter-Finals, winning that series 2-1.
But Kobryn says revenge is not the objective.
"We can't think like that going onto the court," the Poland national team pivot said, "because then, we could put ourselves under pressure.
"We have to play at their home and just show that we're a better team, fulfilling the main aims which are to play good defense and fight for every ball. That will be the key to success."
Wisla are 8-1 going into this weekend's PLKK clash while Polkowice are 7-1.
