An incredible defensive anchor for France, Ndongue is the player who continues to take the bumps and hits under the basket for the team. Always willing to do the dirty work inside, the center is a great shot blocker and her defensive presence is invaluable. She utilises her great wingspan to make it awkward for opponents to get the ball to opposing centers under the hoop and her quick feet mean she is always playing help defence. She embodies the defensive and disciplined values of Coach Vincent, although can also contribute offensively too, particularly when executing the pick and roll. She also has a great temperament and team ethic which has contributed to playing a major role in landing titles and medals. She has huge experience, having played EuroLeague Women for much of the last decade and was LFB Player of the Year in 2011. However, she missed half of EuroBasket Women 2011 after picking up an injury mid-tournament, so this means unfinished business for Ndongue. |
