Career: PZKozs Warszawa (Poland-PLKK,1999-2004), Lotos Gdynia (Poland-PLKK, 2004-10), Wisla Can-Pack (Poland-PLKK, 2010-11)
After making her major tournament debut in Latvia in 2009, Paulina Pawlak has since established herself as a critical piece of the puzzle for Poland. She has just completed her seventh year playing in EuroLeague Women where she has shown her worth not only for Lotos Gdynia, but also to Wisla Can-Pack where she moved last summer. Tenacious on defence and a great team player, this is where her strength lies. A hard-nosed approach to every minute of every game, she is tough on the court and while her offensive skills aren't as exciting as some other guards, they can be just as effective. She consistently knocks down triples and has good court awareness with the ball in her hands - further reasons why she is still an All Star in the Polish league. She also works well with the likes of Ewelina Kobryn who was with her in Gdynia. The performances of Pawlak in particular could have a significant bearing on the success of the team. |
