| 28.02.2013 EUROLEAGUE WOMEN | | Oleksandra Kurasova's MVP award was bitter-sweet for the Ukrainian forward |
Oleksandra Kurasova has earned Play-Off Day 3 honours but it will be of little consolation to the Ukrainian forward, with Rivas Ecopolis European season coming to a halt in overtime at the hands of Famila Schio. After sinking a vital jump-shot with 11 seconds to play in regular time to send the game into overtime, Kurasova could not repeat the act at the end of added time, fouling out with less than a minute to play as Famila Schio hung on for a memorable four-point 79-75 victory. In the end, Kurasova ended the game with 24 points and seven rebounds, gaining an efficiency rating of 28.
Bourges' Endene Miyam was the runner-up in the MVP standing, producing her biggest EuroLeague Women performance of the season as her 20-point, 14-rebound double-double led her team to Ekaterinburg. Laura Macchi rounds out the top three, scoring a season-high 23 points for Schio, keeping a cool head at the line with 13 seconds remaining to sink both her free throws and open a four-point gap between the Italians and their Spanish rivals.
