Justyna Zurowska's efforts were not enough for Wisla Can-Pack against the determined hosts

Uni Györ produced their most impressive performance so far in EuroLeague Women Group A with a fantastic 83-67 home success against Wisla Can-Pack which brought their opponents’ four game winning streak to an abrupt end.

Australian guard Natalie Hurst was the architect of the stunning victory, finishing on 21 points, five rebounds and three assists from eight of ten floor shooting.

The playmaker helped Györ grab the initiative in the second quarter which they used as a springboard to post a vibrant 19-9 third period which effectively won them the game.

Györ returned to the court after the interval with a real verve, and blasted their way into a double-figure lead to leave Wisla standing.

Eleven points without reply including successive scores at the hoop by Ieva Kublina, put Györ 56-43 in front, and once there, they always looked like they would keep the visitors at arms' length.

This was particular the case with the usually irrepressible Tina Charles having a rare off-night, and once Rita Rasheed dropped a three-ball in the fourth quarter to take the margin out to 20 points, the game was over for Wisla.

The win takes Györ level with their rivals on a 4-4 record and in addition to the stand-out contribution of Hurst, Latvian centre Kublina had 15 points, five rebounds and five assists.

Justyna Zurowska was the best performer for the losing team with 16 points and four assists.
