USO Mondeville continued their positive start as a potential surprise package in EuroLeague Women Group C after claiming an emphatic 73-64 home success against a disappointing Perfumerias Avenida.

Having won on opening night in overtime at CCC Polkowice, this was a little more emphatic and straightforward for the hosts.
Mondeville raced out of the blocks and found themselves 16-4 to the good and with the visitors caught cold, the French side remained very much on the front foot for most of the game.
Avenida struggled to impose themselves with any telling run of scoring and whilst they worked their way back to within touching distance at 33-29, it was to be as close as they would get.
USO Mondeville kept Alberto Miranda and his players at arms' length with relative ease, helped by scoring eight of the first ten points during the final period which eased any uncertainty or fears around a potential revival by the visitors.
Amanda Lassiter was in great form and harvested 21 points whilst Marta Fernandez had 16 points and five assists in defeat.
