| 19.10.2011 EuroLeague Women Ros Casares Valencia made a big statement as they took control of Euroleague Women Group A with an 83-55 rout of VICI Aistes. Ann Wauters scored 24 points and grabbed 11 rebounds while Eshaya Murphy poured in 22 points in a lop-sided win. The visitors were able to keep it close in a low-scoring first quarter that finished 14-11, but were blown out of the water soon after. An 18-0 Ros Casares run, capped by Isabelle Yacoubou's three-pointer, spanned the half-time interval and formed part of a third period in which the hosts poured in 30 points and outscored the visitors 30 to 15. By the time Silvia Dominguez hit a three-pointer to end it, Ros Casares were up 67-40, and the game was over as a contest. Yacoubou finished with 19 points and eight rebounds for Ros Casares. Vaida Sipaviciute had 14 points to lead Aistes, while Sandra Linkeviciene and Vita Kuktiene added 12 each. |
