|Jolene Anderson is joining Schio from Turkish side Antakya|
Reigning Italian champions Famila Schio have turned to Jolene Anderson to provide the ammunition which could fire them back to the EuroLeague Women Final Eight next season.
The club have taken the American guard who was sensational last season in EuroCup Women, where she averaged an astonishing 23 points, 7.5 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game in an all-round effort for Antakya Belediyesi Genclik.
Anderson is no stranger to stepping up to EuroLeague Women, having already played three seasons earlier in her career when she also put up some impressive numbers.
She spent two years with ESB Lille Metropole, before moving for one year with Lotos Gdynia. Anderson also brings some WNBA experience, having stepped out with Connecticut Sun.
The '86-born guard is essentially a replacement for Danielle McCray who sustained a serious injury at the end of last season and she will be joined by fellow American Amber Harris.
The center was signed recently to fill the gap left by last year's standout player Jantel Lavender.
Famila Schio will have to be at their best to prevail in a very tough Group A which contains defending champions UMMC Ekaterinburg, along with Bourges Basket and Good Angels Kosice, who both made the last four of the competition a few months ago.
Kayseri Kaski spor and Uni Gyor are their other regular season opponents.
