|Aneika Henry had a great season with Lotos Gdynia and EuroLeague Women finalists Rivas took notice|
Rivas Ecopolis announced a slew of signings after the 2011-12 campaign that made them the toast of Spain.
The Madrid club that made a stunning run to the EuroLeague Women Final was reloading for a run at trophies for next season.
All went quiet at Rivas, until Tuesday when the team announced yet another major signing in Aneika Henry.
The 1.92m center, 26, averaged 13.6 points and 9.1 rebounds per game in the 2011-12 season for Lotos Gdynia in the EuroLeague Women.
Former Rivas coach Javier Fort coached Henry with the Gdynia outfit this season.
Rivas will remember Henry from her days in Spain because she has also played for Mann Filter Zaragoza and Gran Canaria 2014.
The native of Jamaica is currently in the WNBA with the Atlanta Dream, where she has averaged 5.2 points and 4.8 rebounds in nearly 20 minutes per game this season.
AVENIDA PEN PINA
María Pina has become the latest player to join Spanish giants Perfumerias Avenida.
A member of Spain's national team that finished eighth at the 2006 FIBA World Championship for Women in Brazil, Pina's star hasn't risen as much as many expected it might, but still at the age of 24 has plenty of potential and could get the playing time she craves in Salamanca.
Pina hasn't played in the EuroLeague Women but has turned out in the EuroCup Women.
In 2011, she averaged 6.5 points 3.0 rebounds in eight games of that competition with Mann Filter Zaragoza.
