Marija Rezan is having a tough start to her Perfumerias Avenida career with the Croatia international set to miss eight weeks due to a knee injury. The Liga Femenina outfit has announced that the 23-year-old Rezan, formerly Marija Vrsaljko, tore the medial meniscus in her right knee and needs an operation. She is therefore going to be unavailable for upcoming EuroLeague women games against USK Prague, CCC Polkowice, USO Mondeville, Galatasaray, UMMC Ekaterinburg and Novi Zagreb. Her first appearance in the competition with Perfumerias is likely to be 12 December, when the Spanish giants go up against Prague in Salamanca. The 1.95m center averaged 11.9 points and 7.1 rebounds per game last season with Gospic Croatia in the EuroLeague Women. On her Olympic debut in London this summer, Rezin averaged eight points and 2.8 rebounds. |
