Johnson Earns Week 11 MVP Honours

It was a bittersweet Wednesday evening for UE Sopron's guard Shenise Johnson, as she rediscovered her form, but could not prevent her team from falling to Turkish giants Fenerbahce.

The Hungarian hosts worked hard, but suffered yet another close loss in EuroLeague Women Group B, 69-74.

Johnson kept Sopron's hopes alive during the game, looking like her usual self after a personal two-game slump. 

Having shot a combined 5-of-25 in the previous two games against Good Angels Kosice and Famila Schio, Johnson recovered her shooting touch against Fenerbahce, making 11 of her 15 field goal attempts on her way to 24 points.

She added 12 rebounds, four assists and two steals, accumulating an efficiency rating of 35, which earned her Week 11 MVP honours.

Last week's MVP Candace Parker fell short of winning the award for a second time in a row with an effiency rating of 33.

Parker once more displayed her versatility with 21 points, seven rebounds, six assists and four steals, leading unbeaten UMMC Ekaterinburg to a comfortable 85-67 victory at CCC Polkowice.

Latoya Williams came in third place of the weekly MVP race after recording a 24-point, 12-rebound double-double in Novi Zagreb's narrow loss at ZVVZ USK Zagreb.
