| 25.11.2011 EUROLEAGUE WOMEN When the EuroLeague Women game of the week between Perfumerias Avenida and Fenerbahce (highlights here) was over and Fenerbahce had just ended an impressive winning streak of the Salamanca team, Angel McCoughtry could not help but praise the home audience. "This is the hardest place I've ever played in but we played a good game" said the forward who had inspired a Fenerbahce comeback in the last 15 minutes of the game. McCoughtry did not seem to be impressed of the atmosphere though, scoring 28 points, pulling down six rebounds and dishing out two assists to accumulate in an efficiency index of 28, higher than everybody else in EuroLeague Women this week. Those numbers don't even take into account her defensive effort against a high octane offense of Salamanca. She scored her points in only 32 minutes, shooting an outstanding 68.8% from the field and making 5 of her six free throws. McCoughtry closely edged Sancho Lyttle of Spanish giants Ros Casares for the award who had a rating of 27 in her team's thrashing of Galatasaray. EuroLeague Women Week 7 Efficiency Index - Top 15 |
