Fenerbahce will again be participating at EuroLeague Women Final Eight after Ivana Matovic and Angel McCoughtry produced just the kind of displays needed for the Turkish giants to win 77-68 against gutsy Uni Györ.

Those expecting a walkover similar to that in Istanbul earlier in the week during game one were to be disappointed, since the hosts battled valiantly to make amends for their capitulation in Istanbul.
Akos Fuzy and his players responded with real voracity and made life uncomfortable for Fener during a great three-quarter performance which at one point, had the upset very much on the cards.
The home side made a statement with an entertaining and positive 24-19 first quarter, and the alarm bells began to sound for Fener when Gyor extended their lead to an eye-opening 14 points through a score by Barbara Semsei.
When Spanish national team centre Cindy Lima made a basket early in the third quarter, Györ still led by eight points and even early in the fourth period, the same player made it 63-57.
But, Györ could only score a further seven points in the last eight minutes of the game as Fener turned the defensive screw to firstly haul themselves back level though McCoughtry at 63-63, and then take the lead moment later after a triple by Cappie Pondexter. They never looked back.
McCoughtry had an excellent 22 points, nine rebounds and three steals and the magnificent Matovic just keeps on producing in sensational fashion, after landing 21 points, nine rebounds, six assists and three steals.
