|Zsófia Fegyverneky confrimed her status as the franchise player for UE Sopron, scoring 18 points against Rivas|
UE Sopron collected their first EuroLeague Women road win of the season with a hard-fought 65-60 victory at Rivas Ecopolis in Group B.
It was also the first time the Spanish hosts have lost at home as Sopron claimed back-to-back victories to move level with Rivas with a 3-3 record.
Zsofia Fegyverneky excelled for Sopron with 18 points, although there was a nervous finale after the Hungarian national team star fouled out of the game during the last minute.
When Serbian forward Sara Krnjic put her team in front at 8-7 during the early exchanges, she probably didn't expect her team to hold on to their lead for the remainder of the encounter - but that is exactly how it panned out.
And, it was Krnjic who had taken her team out to a 37-24 advantage shortly before half-time, helped by the visitors doing a good job of controlling the glass.
Boosted by the confidence from their victory a week earlier against Lattes Montpellier , Igor Polenek and his players subsequently managed to keep Rivas at arms' length for long periods.
They suffered a slight wobble in the last closing moments as Gaby Ocete twice made it a one-shot game, but free-throws from Zsofia Simon and Kelly Faris got them safely over the finishing line.
Ocete and Queralt Casas both scored 17 points for the losing team.
