|Miljana Bojovic averages 7.5 assists in the EuroLeague Women|
Good Angels Kosice snapped the three-game winning streak of Municipal Targoviste in EuroLeague Women Group B, after a blistering second quarter and some great work in the paint laid the foundation for a 93-78 success.
Whilst the confident visitors made the better start with a 20-14 lead after the opening 10 minutes, this was soon forgotten as the home side began to shift through the gears and set about bouncing back from last week's reverse in Istanbul against Fenerbahce.
The Good Angels found new rhythm offensively, and Targoviste just couldn't cope with the threat posed by the home side under the basket.
They leaked 31 points in the second period which meant their advantage evaporated quickly, and they also found themselves down by double figures at 45-34 heading into the second half.
Targoviste found the Kosice frontcourt far too hot to handle, as Petra Kulichova, Plenette Pierson and Tijana Krivacevic combined for 49 points, attained via some impressive 60% floor shooting.
Central to that success was point guard Miljana Bojovic, who passed the 40 assists landmark in her sixth game this season, by adding another nine to help put Targoviste to the sword.
The visitors got back to within five points during the second half, but never looked like retrieving the initiative which they had lost shortly before half-time.
The one bright spot for Targoviste was the return to action of the highly rated Claudia Pop who has spent much of her time injured of late.
