|Tijana Krivacevic has extended her contract with Slovak side Good Angels Kosice|
Tijana Krivacevic is set to play her ninth successive term in EuroLeague Women after re-signing with Good Angels Kosice, whilst the highly rated Swedish forward Farhiya Abdi will also move to the club.
Still only 23 years old, the fourth best team in the competition last season have held on to the talented Krivacevic , who averaged 9.5 points and 4.4 rebounds - something which has delighted General Manager Daniel Jendrichovsky.
He insisted, "She has made huge progress with us and already we can say she is one of the best European pivots.
"She was a priority for us to stay here, but we had to financially accommodate her."
The belated confirmation of the acquisition of Abdi, who played in Brno last season and is currently competing in the WNBA with Los Angeles Sparks, comes at the same time as the signature of Polish rising star Magdalena Zietara - something which highlights the club's ongoing commitment to harnessing young talent.
Slovak Republic national team star Lucia Kupcikova has also been confirmed, although the club won't be fielding either Natasha Lacy or Alexandria Quigley next season and currently wait on point guard Miljana Bojovic and forward Plenette Pierson.
Despite some import slots still being available, Jendrichovsky admitted he is in no hurry to complete the roster.
"We lack three, or even four players and two of them are Americans," he confirmed.
"I'll probably wait until September if possible, so that we will be able to catch more fish for less money.
"That may even backfire, but I believe that there will be a number of available female players remaining who would like to be with us."
