|Greece and Nadezhda head coach George Dikeoulakos has experienced a fine 12 months with great success in both his roles |
Nadezhda Orenburg play-caller George Dikeoulakos has revealed he has agreed a two year extension and will remain with the EuroLeague Women side until the summer of 2016.
Dikeoulakos has been a success ever since he took the reins back at the start of last season from Algirdas Paulauskas, with the team seemingly in disarray.
Having lost their opening three games in EuroLeague Women, he steadied the ship and turned things around to great effect, eventually delivering a historic first spot at the Final Eight and then a maiden victory during the season finale.
He also made it a year for Nadezhda to remember in their landmark twentieth season, by reaching the Russian Championship finals - although they were ultimately beaten by title holders UMMC.
Dikeoulakos has previously coached Municipal Targoviste, Fenerbahce and Lotos Gdynia in EuroLeague Women and also masterminded a memorable EuroCup Women success with Sony Athinaikos.
He has also taken the Greek national team to EuroBasket Women 2015 after wining the 1st Qualification Tournament last summer.
