On day two of the Final Eight, a record attendance of 8,500 in the Abdi Ipekci Arena saw an Istanbul derby between Fenerbahce and Galatasaray. Fenerbahce won in an exciting game.
A meeting of the top European basketball countries and the FIBA Europe executive committee also took place. The outcome was a statement of unity by the participants. FIBA Europe Secretary Nar Zanolin later watched the EuroLeague Women final with Russian Basketball Federation President Alexander Krasnenkov and Turkish Basketball Federation President Turgay Demirel.
