She may not have landed the title for her team but EuroLeague Women Final Eight MVP Asjha Jones did everything a player could to take her team, Rivas Ecopolis, to the top of the podium.

It was certainly a bitter-sweet weekend for the American forward who couldn't prevent her team from slipping to defeat in the Final in addition to suffering the disappointment of not being named on the USA Olympic Games roster.

However, after being overwhelmingly voted by the media as the MVP of a historical first EuroLeague Women Final Eight, Jones could barely have played any better after posting a sting of stellar performances.

The forward averaged a magnificent tournament double-double of 20.3 points and 10.8 rebounds per game and even more impressively, shot an eye-popping 60.4% from the floor.

Jones was in red-hot form for Rivas from the moment the aeroplane wheels touched down in Istanbul, racking up three double-doubles in the first three games of the tournament against Galatasaray Medical Park, Beretta-Famila Schio and Fenerbahce.

She also posted an efficient 14 points and 7 rebounds in the final against champions Ros Casares.
