Sean Marshall poured in 24 points as Trabzonspor Medical Park put up three figures in a 103-80 rout of Atomerömü to start their EuroChallenge Group F campaign.

Atomerömü scored the first 10 points of the game as the hosts struggled to find their scoring touch, but once it came they quickly caught up, taking the lead before the end of the first quarter.

A 10-0 run in the third effectively put the visitors to bed as Marshall made it 67-41 with a lay-up with 4:46 to go in the period.

The lead was 92-61 when Nusret Yildrim sank a three with 4:12 to go before Atomerömü made up some ground late on.

COACH QUOTES

Quotes: TS Medical Park vs. Atomerömü SE

Branislav Dzunic, Atomerömü Head Coach
"I have to congratulate Trabzonspor Medical Park as they deserved this win and the stat sheet clearly shows that they played better than us. We let them find too many second-chance points. But we managed to play well during some parts of the game. Anyway it was not enough, because when Trabzonspor Medical Park played hard defence on us, they managed to score easy baskets. Then we collapsed. Once again I would like to congratulate the home team and we will look forward to the next games."

Gergely Körtelyesi, Atomerömü
"We prepared well for this game. We got off to a good start, but had too many ups and downs during the game. When we fell behind, the gap grew too quickly."

Hakan Demir, Trabzonspor Head Coach
"After tough losses in domestic competition, it was very important to win. We are happy to record our first win in a European club competition. As a club we have targets. We need to show our potential. Today, despite starting very bad, we succeded to show our potential. I want to congratulate all my players. We would like to turn this into a winning streak and get a second one against Turk Telekom this Saturday at home. Also, I would likte to give my special thanks to our fans who did not leave us alone at Hayri Gur Sports Hall today."

Dwight Hardy, Trabzonspor
"We prepared well and were able to show it. We stayed together on the court, played hard defence and this brought us easy baskets. That was the key to win. Now we want to keep this up in both the Turkish League and the EuroChallenge group stage."
