Martin Pahlmblad nailed the crucial shot for Södertälje BK, taking this game tally to 16 points

Martin Pahlmblad made one free throw with two seconds left to secure Södertälje BK an important 76-73 victory at BC Zepter Vienna in Group C of the EuroChallenge.

John Roberson led Södertälje with 17 points while Pahlmblad and Mantas Griskenas both scored 16 points for the Swedes, who improved to 2-2 in the group.

Nikola Pavlicevic had 19 points for Vienna, whose record fell to 1-3. Predrag Miletic added 18 points while Marko Kolaric and Nenad Sulovic both chipped in 11.

There were seven lead changes in the early going until Vienna used a 7-0 run to take a 15-10 lead. The hosts were up 19-18 after one quarter.

Pavlicevic and Kolaric both nailed three-balls in pushing the lead to 27-20. Södertälje trimmed the deficit to one point but then fell behind 37-28. At half-time the BC Zepter lead was 39-38.

The lead changed hands three times early in the third quarter before Södertälje took a 53-48 cushion. Vienna did pull back ahead but Södertälje were up 57-56 after three quarters.

The lead was still six points with six minutes left and five points with less than two minutes to go.

Vienna were within 75-73 with two seconds left when Pahlmblad split two free throws. Florian Trmal's three-point attempt at the buzzer was off.
