Giedrius Gustas sealed the win with a pair of free-throws as Rakvere Tarvas claimed their first win
Rakvere Tarvas clung on at the finish to claim their first win in Group A of the EuroChallenge, edging out Antwerp Giants 77-75.
Tarvas had used a 14-0 run to come from behind at the start of the second quarter, but the home fans were left biting on their nails as Antwerp scored nine unanswered points to move within two in the final seconds of the game before two free throws from Giedrius Gustas effectively sealed it.
Kristo Saage led Tarvas with 26 points while Gustas added 13 and Gregory Jenkins collected 10 points and 10 rebounds.
Antwerp, who drop to 1-2, will be left to rue squandering a 13-point first-half lead.
They had led 35-22 when Roel Moors made a lay-up with three minutes in the first half, but the game was turned on its head in the third quarter when back-to-back three-pointers from Saage and Juris Umbrasko sparked a run which turned a 46-39 Antwerp lead into a 53-46 Tarvas advantage - Saage scoring three threes in the burst.
Tarvas were looking good as the final buzzer approached, up 75-64 when Gustas completed a three-point play from the line, but Maxime De Zeeuw had two threes in a nine-point burst which shrank the gap to two with eight second left.
Moors missed the chance to tie it and Gustas made him pay with a pair of free throws with just one second left putting the game out of reach.
De Zeeuw led Antwerp with 23 points and 10 rebounds while Turner scored 19.
