Krasnye Krylia blew away Port of Antwerp Giants in the fourth quarter to race away to an 87-67 victory and secure a ticket to the EuroChallenge quarter-finals.

In a straight fight for second place in Group I, the hosts busted open a tight contest by scoring the first 10 points of the final period and barely eased up thereafter, outscoring the visitors 25-11 in the period.

Michal Ignerski led the way with 18 points while Filip Videnov added 16 for the Samara club.

The teams had kept within spitting distance of one another until late in the second period when Krasnye Krylia began to pull clear, with a 9-0 run giving them a 43-31 lead when Anton Pushkov made a lay-up with 2:27 left in the half.

The gap was 10 at the break, but the Giants came back in the third period, with Maxime De Zeeuw scoring five in an 11-2 burst that made it 52-51 to Samara.

They were soon level on a Ryan Pearson three-pointer, but back-to-back threes from Larry O'Bannon helped the hosts open up a 62-56 lead going into the final period.

The game was still very much alive at that point, but not for much longer thanks to a devastating start to the final period, with Pushkov's free throws making it 72-56 less than three minutes into the quarter.

They only continued to pull away, with a Videnov dunk making it 82-62 with 2:16 to go.

O'Bannon and Aaron Miles scored 14 each for Krasnye Krylia with Pushkov adding 10.

Pearson led Antwerp with 14 points.
