Two American wingers who did not see their huge efforts rewarded with a win for their team on Tuesday are the top statistical performers of Game 1 in the EuroChallenge quarter-final play-offs.

Justin Holiday of Szolnoki Olaj and Lance Harris of Ural Ekaterinburg both registered an efficiency index rating of 28, the highest of any other player in the first game of the quarter-finals.

Early on Tuesday, Triumph Lyubertsy grabbed the initiative in the first quarter-final against Ekaterinburg almost right from tip-off and claimed a crucial 80-72 win on the road.

Were it not for Harris and his play-offs Game 1-high 27 points, the visitors would have sealed the win much earlier and in much more comfortable fashion.

Harris was for long stretches during the first three quarters the only Ekaterinburg player to connect with the opposite basket and went 9-of-17 from the floor, including 5-of-8 from beyond the three-point arc.

The American swingman also collected a team-high six rebounds, dished out three assists and came up with two steals to round up his performance, but it was not enough against Triumph's pluralism, as five of their players scored in double digits.

A few hours later in Estonia, Szolnok fell behind by 17 points with 8:59 remaining in Game 1 of their series with Tartu University Rock.

The hosts seemed to have it in the bag, but Holiday drilled a three-pointer, drew the foul and converted the four-point play to instigate an improbable Szolnok comeback attempt.

The American continued to come up with big plays on both ends of the floor and helped the Hungarian team reduce the gap to 82-81 when there just 17 seconds on the clock, but ultimately Tartu held on to claim the all-important 87-83 victory.

Holiday corralled 18 points on 5-of-9 from the floor, six rebounds, six assists, two blocks and two steals, while also drawing six fouls.

While Holiday sparked his team to life in the fourth, the player who took third spot on the podium of the quarter-final Game 1 Top Statistical Performers really saved the best for last.

Grissin Bon Reggio Emilia captain Andrea Cinciarini scored 14 of his game-high 19 points in the last 5:24 of their clash with Krasnye Krylia, after the guests had tied the scores at 56, to propel the hosts to a 75-63 win over the Russian side.

The Italian international registered an efficiency index rating of 25 as he collected his 19 points on 7-of-12 from the floor, dished out seven assists, picked up four boards and stole two balls.
