Ciao again from Pecs!

It's been a little while since I've written so I'll update you on what's been going on here! We've wrapped up two EuroLeague Women games so far and have gone 1-1.

Let's start with the first. We opened our season against TTT Riga at home and were able to get the win by 66-60. It was not the prettiest game but a win's a win, so we'll take it. The good thing about the game was that we walked away knowing that we can be so much better. That's always a good feeling considering we have many more games to play.

It was also amazing to see our fan support for the first game! They were so loud and energetic. They definitely helped us get the victory and it makes me excited for the rest of our home games!

Our next game, unfortunately, wasn't so memorable. We ended up losing a tough game on the road against Wisla Can-Pack in Krakow, Poland (68-70). We fought extremely hard and had our chances to get the win, but we made too many mistakes which can't happen on the road.

It's tough to lose a game by 2 points, because then you constantly think about every single play that could have changed the game. We had plenty of time to think about that on our 10 hour bus ride back to Pecs! That game is over though so all we can do is be positive and learn from our mistakes.

Up next for us is a home game against USO Mondeville. It will be nice to both play against and see a familiar face in Lenae Williams. She played at DePaul University which is also where I played, so it will be fun to see her on the court! They are 1-1 as well and are coming to Pecs fresh off a loss to Kosice Good Angels. We know they will be hungry to get a victory, so we will have to bring our best game and do whatever it takes to get the win!

Outside of basketball, we haven't had a lot of time to do that much. After our long trip back from Poland, we got a couple days off to relax our bodies and minds so I decided go to Sara Krnjic's home of Novi Sad, Serbia. It was about a 3 hour drive from Pecs so that was nothing compared to 10 hours on the bus!!

It was the perfect two days of relaxing, eating, shopping, and more eating of course - ha ha! She showed me the city and gave me a little history lesson on Novi Sad, as well as a few new Serbian phrases. I felt like I was back in school with Mrs. Krnjic - Bravo!

Now it's back to business and time to get on a roll for our next 6 games in EuroLeague Women before the Christmas break!! That starts this Thursday against USO Mondeville!

Thanks for reading and Ciao until next time!!
