The holders have opted to bulk up their frontcourt options as they continue their title defence with a Quarter-Final match-up against Beretta Famila Schio.
The 26-year-old Steinberga helped carry Mithra Castors Braine to the Final of EuroCup Women last season, proving a standout performer for the first-timers.
This season she returned to the competition and posted a classy double-double of 15.5 points and 10.7 rebounds for Chevakata.
She is also aiming to help Latvia take a ticket for EuroBasket Women 2017 and poured in 21 points last month in a critical win against derby rivals Lithuania.
Steinberga will compete for minutes at Prague with the likes of Ilona Burgrova, Candice Dupree and 2015 Final Four MVP, Kia Vaughn.
Prague head into their series against Schio looking to avoid a third straight defeat after finishing the regular season with losses to Spar CityLift Girona and UMMC Ekaterinburg.
