The forward will miss the Final Round having also not played during qualification last summer.
Her expected return to the team had been widely heralded after a standout season for Tsmoki Minsk in Belarus, but an injury to her arm which was sustained in a friendly tournament in France recently has failed to heat and therefore curtailed her participation.
"The final twelve is maybe not as we imagined at the beginning of preparations for EuroBasket Women," he confirmed.
"But we are very motivated and focused on the factors that led to qualification.
"The team's desire to prove that they can achieve despite the injuries is very high and the main objective is still to pass to the Olympic Games," added Sernius.
The Federation has invited rising star Laura Juskaite back into the camp, although they have reiterated that this is with an eye on the long-term, rather than the short-term.
Lithuania will rely more than ever on their kingpin center Gintare Petronyte, who along with her colleagues will match-up against neighbours Latvia in a traditional friendly game in Riga on Wednesday evening before completing their warm-up programme against China at the weekend.
