Ros Casares recently lost star player Amaya Valdemoro to EuroLeague Women champions Samara but they have signed another star in former French international Nicole Antibe.
The 1.87m tall center becomes the first reinforcement for the Spanish giants, who are looking to return to winning ways next year following their winless campaign.
The departure of Agathe Nnindjem to Vigo and Valdemoro to Samara last week had left Valencia desperately needing talent.
The Mediterranean club, who have already secured Spanish international Elisa Aguilar for another two campaigns, believe they have found in the experienced Antibe the ideal candidate to inspire the team.
Antibe arrives to Spain after winning the FIBA Europe Cup with Napoli this season. The 31-year-old lacks no introduction following a successful career for both club and country.
She has turned out for the top four teams in France - Aix en Provence, Bordeaux, Bourges and Valenciennes - and it was at the latter where she won the FIBA EuroLeague Women's title in 2003.
Antibe participated in four FIBA Women's European Championships with Les Bleues, including the 2001 tournament that saw France clinch the gold medal.
She averaged 12.9 points and four rebounds a game in that event.
