|Margret Skuballa led Germany with 25 points|
Germany have picked up their second in of the weekend in the EuroBasket Women 2015 Qualifying Round, defeating F.Y.R of Macedonia 87-83 in overtime.
It was a case of saving the best for last on Sunday evening with the last game of the first round being the first to be pushed to overtime as Germany and F.Y.R. of Macedonia gave it their all, despite the game effectively being a dead rubber.
In a see-sawing battle, it looked like Germany had made the clinical break early in the final frame when a Katharina Fikiel lay-up had the Germans up by 11. However, despite obvious reasons for fatigue, given their six-person rotation, F.Y.R of Macedonia refused to throw in the towel.
When Slavica Dimovska sunk a three-pointer to tie the game at 75 with 01:39 to play, Germany were left with more than enough time to reply but no more points were forthcoming in regular time.
The lead continued to ebb and flow in added time until Anne Breitreiner sunk a clutch three-pointer with 50 seconds remaining, signaling the final lead change of the game as Margret Skuballa proceeded to put the icing on the cake, picking up her 25th point of the night on a lay-up with two seconds to play.
Breitreiner completed the game with 18 points whilst Fikiel displayed her all-round game with a 16-point, 18-rebound double-double.
The best of the F.Y.R of Macedonians was Dimovska with 27 points whilst Monika Gavriloska had 13 points and 14 boards.
