|The stellar form of Johannah Leedham in 2013 did not go unrecognised by the British Basketball Federation|
The 26-year-old has completed an incredible 12 months or so, having not even had a club at the back end of 2012.
However, after being given a call by Valerie Garnier at Bourges, she has never looked back since and witnessed her form and profile soar.
After moving to France, she made it all the way to the semi-finals of the EuroLeague Women Final Eight with Bourges, won the LFB Championship, carried the Great Britain national team to the second phase of EuroBasket Women where she led the tournament in assists and has since continued her stellar work into the 2013-14 EuroLeague Women campaign.
It's the second time that the Ellesmere Port-born star has picked up the gong, having also been handed the same plaudit back in 2009.
The decision is another coup for the Great Britain women's team, with Leedham becoming the third female athlete in a row to take the award, following on from Natalie Stafford in 2012 and Julie Page in 2011.
