Bourges Force Series Decider With Wisla

31. Tina Charles (Wisla Can-Pack)
Tina Charles' performance was not enough for Wisla Can-Pack
Bourges Basket bounced back from defeat in game one by choking the life out of Wisla Can-Pack in Krakow to take a super 50-38 success and set-up a decider back in France on Wednesday.

It was a truly miserable offensive night for the home side who had game one match winner Tina Charles fighting something of a lone battle, eventually finishing up with 28 of the 38 point total, in addition to harvesting 15 rebounds.

Whilst Wisla were again without the injured Alana Beard and Cristina Ouvina, it wasn't something they didn't deal with in the first encounter and head coach Jose Fernandez will know his team must now execute in the third game.

Celine Dumerc had demanded Bourges improve when they took to the floor in Poland and they certainly did that defensively and on the glass, building an impenetrable wall which Wisla simply couldn't breach with sufficient regularity.

And, the fact that Bourges were hardly slick offensively themselves will be of little concern after managing to force this decider.

The decision to utilise Marissa Coleman instead of Johannah Leedham proved to be fruitful for Valerie Garnier, with the forward grabbing a double-double, including 12 precious rebounds to stop Charles doing more permanent damage.

The result never looked to be in much doubt after Bourges streaked into a 21-6 lead, although they will have noted Wisla came back from a similar position in the first game.

It wasn't to be this time, although Charles did briefly make it a one-shot game at 39-36 with just over three minutes remaining, only for Bourges to subsequently score 11 of the last 13 points in the contest.

Endene Miyem and Styliani Kaltsidou both had 11 points for Bourges.
