When Hejdova debuted at EuroBasket Women 2007 and then played at the Beijing Olympics a year later, it looked like she was going to be an essential component for Czech Republic moving forward. However, she has drifted in and out of the set-up ever since and not established herself as a main contributor. Nevertheless, she is coming into this Final Round off the back of two good years with Angers in the highly-rated French League. She is really good at spacing the floor and patrols the perimeter, where she can hit triples when the opportunity arises. She is also adept at making incisive passes and assists which is an undervalued part of her skill-set. The wing player started out learning her trade at the great Gambrinus Brno team which made the final of EuroLeague Women in 2006 and won it a year later.
