Halcon Avenida have thrown down the gauntlet to Ros Casares in the battle for Spanish supremacy by signing another of their leading players from the past two seasons, Anna Montanana.
The Spain international, who has already had two spells with the Salamanca club, will make an already formidable frontcourt even stronger.
Avenida recently announced the signing Ros Casares center Erika de Souza and they tied up their star from this season, Sancho Lyttle, last month.
Montanana is one of the most versatile players in Europe, one who thrives in transition and often leads the fast-break.
The forward averaged better than nine points and shot nearly 60% from inside the arc in the EuroLeague Women this season.
She is also a wonderful passer and can drill the three-pointer.
Expected to be in the Spain squad for the FIBA World Championship for Women, Montanana turns 30 on October 24.
