UMMC Ekaterinburg are within one victory of defending their Russian Superleague Women title following a superlative performance by their American superstar Candace Parker in a Game 2 triumph over Spartak Moscow Region.
Parker tore apart Spartak with 43 points as UMMC prevailed 87-79.
UMMC led 45-40 at half-time only for the Vidnoje club to strike back by outscoring them 21-14 in the third quarter for 61-59 advantage heading into the final frame.
Gundars Vetra's side then turned the tables on Spartak by pouring in 28 fourth-quarter points while also limiting the visitors to 18.
Parker was incredible.
She made all four of her shots from long range and was 13 of 16 at the free-throw line.
The USA international even had a team-high nine rebounds.
If the Superleague Women play-off finals are showing anything, it's that two weeks in basketball is a very long time because the results have followed Spartak's fourth straight EuroLeague Women championship triumph in Valencia back on April 11.
Spartak had to beat UMMC in the Semi-Finals on April 9, which they did 87-79.
Sue Bird had 18 points and Diana Taurasi 14 for Spartak.
UMMC can complete a 3-0 sweep in the best-of-five game Superleague Women finals with a win in Ekaterinburg on Wednesday.
